The wine offers lovely flowery aromas showing honeysuckle with lime leaf and mango. The palate has bright refreshing acidity, but rounds out in the center, allowing the crisp flavors of light mango and cucumber to persist – perfect for seafood!
The 2018 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc is loaded with aromas of orange blossom and elderflower. As it opens, pineapple and vanilla begin to unfold. A tangy melting texture on the palate with creamy tropical fruit and lemon pineapple flavors lead to a finish that is delicate and clean.
The 2016 Tiara offers a luscious nose of passionfruit and kiwi, casaba melon and lime leaf. The texture is ultra-voluptuous, with flavors of ripe apricot, melon, tangerine, and toasty marzipan. While the wine finishes rich and dense, it has a balanced and refreshing finish.
The nose is a little shy coming out, but opens to wild flowers and Asian pear. Vanilla and crisp apple fill in the aromas. The palate is unique, with Asian pear and guava flavors filling an unusually rich velvety texture that finishes full and rich.
The 2015 Carly’s Cuvee Chardonnay presents fresh and bright aromatics of tropical fruit, melon and hints of fig. The entry is honeyed with ripe citrus, light peach and well-integrated nuttiness and a touch of mineral. A rich, full mid-palate with balanced acidity draws out into a long finish.
The 2016 Reserve Chardonnay presents aromatics of lemon, pineapple a hint of vanilla and lemon rind. The entry develops into flavors of pineapple and peach supported with a rich midpalate. The finish has a rich balance in the center, and finishes smoothly with a hint of lemon zest.
Lovely aromas of pie cherry, almond and anise are balanced by a hint of clove, plum and Bing cherry fruit on the palate. Tannins and color were abundant in 2016, giving us wines of deep color, firm, yet fine-grained tannins and a rich, juicy mid-palate.
The 2016 vintage has a distinctively cool and earthy “Saltonstall” nose, with a spicy bouquet of fresh coriander seed and redwood forest floor and deep black cherry. The palate has cigar box and cedar forest notes, with a supple elegant entrance, a full bodied center core, and a long savory finish.
The aromas consist of beautiful boysenberry and fresh bright cherry, combined with white pepper and nutmeg spices. Crunchy cherry and cranberry fruit flavors lead to a broad warm briary raspberry center. Nice acidity and a darker chocolate character come out on the finish.
The 2015 Merlot opens with deep aromas of cassis, blackberry and black licorice. The wine is big and intense with a power unusual in Merlot. Black cherry and mocha flavors from the French oak pull things together, followed by a solid core of acidity and a few tannins still hanging around the edges. 2015 was a small crop with big intensity and this wine is a reflection of that.
