Our Wines
2006 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
In Stock
The Hill Family Estate wine library, is filled with wines dating back to our inaugural vintage in 2001. In celebration of Hill Family Estate's library collection, we’ve decided to open the vault. In early 2010 we began re-releasing some of our most prized vintages and vertical packs from the Napa Valley.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Nose: Elegant blackberry and black cherry with the wild sage and garrigue notes that come from the Atlas Peak Mountain area.
Palate: Still young and perky up front, but the long deep flavors of black cherry, wild cherry, and cassis are developing nicely. A hint of sage and cedar give it elegance, and there is just enough mountain tannin to be savory and structured.
Winemaker Notes
The 2006 Hill Family Cabernet Sauvignon combines the best of the Hill Family’s Beau Terre
Vineyard in the Oak Knoll District, with its plush black cherry boysenberry fruit, and the
Atlas Peak Cabernet, with its finesse and tannic structure and its hints of sage and native
brambly character. All vineyards are under the control of Doug Hill, offering the chance to
make the tough but necessary decisions about viticulture that make for the best wines. 2006
was a strong Cabernet year, with intensity and power that evolved to have grace and beauty after 18 months in barrel.
